Rockport, TX Fishing Report – October 24–26, 2026

Redfish are steering the ship this weekend, and Rockport’s bays are primed for a hot stretch. Recent October reports point to bull reds, big schools in the passes, and the season’s first fish showing along the shorelines, with cooler water and east breezes keeping the bite fired up.

Expect light chop through Monday: east-southeast winds around 9–14 mph Saturday, east 10–14 mph Sunday, and east-northeast 7–13 mph Monday with gusts near 20. Skies stay mostly sunny to partly sunny, with a 20% chance of afternoon showers Monday. No advisories are posted.

The best windows: Saturday, 10:54 AM–12:54 PM, the primary solunar period with the best wind and sunshine, and Sunday, 11:43 AM–1:43 PM, as the moon reaches full Sunday night.

Redfish are Very Good around the Port Aransas jetties and Redfish Bay shorelines. Speckled trout are Good on Redfish Bay and Aransas Bay grass edges near deeper water. Flounder are Fair but building as the fall run starts along Aransas Pass channel edges and Copano Bay shorelines.

Also active: black drum are Good along deeper holes, and sheepshead are Fair around structure.
